Project update: Announcement of composer & guest on the podcast “Ausgesprochen Brennbar”

At the beginning of September and the end of the summer holidays, we would like to bring you, dear friends and supporters, up to date on [W]holehearted.

Current donation status

At the moment our donation level is €12,912.00. The status has not changed since the last newsletter in August, but it was also the holiday season and it is still a considerable amount that has been raised so far. We thank God and all previous supporters from the bottom of our hearts for their generous financial support! We are continuing to work on financing. For example, this month we are planning an appointment at the MFG Baden-Württemberg (i.e. the media and film company of the state of Baden-Württemberg) to talk about the possibilities of state film funding. In addition, in the next few days, additional flyer packages will be on their way to various communities in the country to further publicize the project. When it comes to announcements, there is also a great announcement (see next section

From September 15th you can listen to us on the podcast Ausgesprochen Brennbar by Stayonfire .

Jurgen Beck: The composer for the film music of [W]holehearted

We are incredibly happy to announce that film music composer Jurgen Beck has agreed to join us for the film project.

Jurgen Beck was born in Germany and began his musical journey early in his life. His passion and interest in music focused on training on the trumpet (flugelhorn). He also learned other instruments such as guitar, piano and bass at the same time. After receiving a full scholarship, he moved to the United States in 1987 to continue his music studies at a college in Dallas, Texas. At this time he began producing music for independent artists. His love of film music led him to transition from writing and producing music for artists to writing for film.

Jurgen is a creative composer who loves exploring the diverse aspects of music and its effect on the listener. This gives him the unique ability to add music to the image, stimulating the viewer's emotional abilities to absorb the story. Whether composing for feature films, documentaries, commercials or digital media, his passion is to bring every medium he writes for to life by adding a unique blend of electronic and orchestral elements. Jurgen has written for a number of popular productions, ranging from his iconic film score for the hugely successful Christian film "Beyond the Mask", his music for the passion play "The Thorn", to numerous television commercials and film trailers. He lives with his family in Texas, USA.

About ten years ago we first met Jurgen over the Internet and shortly afterwards noticed that not only did he originally come from Swabia, which is very close to us, but that we even had mutual friends. During our trip to the set of “The Chosen” in Texas in 2019, we had the opportunity to personally visit Jurgen and his family at their home in Midlothian, Texas and to be their guests for dinner. We are very grateful and are incredibly looking forward to working with Jürgen!

Now we wish you all a blessed rest of September, enjoy the gradual end of summer!

Greetings and God's blessings!
Your [W]holehearted team

Kornelius, Tabea & Stefan
